Dr. Marie Andrea King

Even though I still call myself a Jersey girl, I have worked with many, many individuals, couples, and families in Southern California since I relocated from back East early in my career.

I graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University with an A.B. and obtained my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from St. John's University in New York.

I received my second doctorate from the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies.

I have been a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytic Association, a Diplomate in Neuropsychology with the American College of Forensic Examiners, and a Director of the Southern California Chapter of the American Psychological Association (APA) Division 39 and of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association.

In addition, I hold certificates in Trauma Model Therapy, ARISE Interventionists, and Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders Proficiency from the APA College of Professional Psychology. I have been a Qualified Medical Evaluator for 25 years and I am on the Victim/Witness of Crime provider panel.
