Individual, Family, and Couples Therapy
Based on each person's goals, the therapeutic modalities we utilize will include cognitive-behavioral (CBT), client centered, and insight-oriented psychotherapy.
Psychoanalysis
Psychoanalysis is a long-term therapeutic modality typically involving several sessions per week and aimed at developing deep awareness of one's conflicts and personality dynamics.
Neuropsychological Testing
I specialize in the differential diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). I assess for gifted and exceptional abilities, as well as intellectual and learning disabilities. I offer evaluation of memory and cognitive functioning for persons with Alzheimer's disease and dementias stemming from traumatic brain injury, stroke, concussion, and age.
Forensic
I work with clients and attorneys dealing with cases involving immigration, conservatorship, unfair termination, harassment at work, and personal injury. Within the Workers Compensation system, I accept referrals for Agreed Medical Evaluations in Psychology.
Pain Management
I assist with behavioral management of pain to ease the subjective perception of pain, avoid pain flare-up, and ameliorate chronic pain syndromes.
Relationships
I work with individuals who are entering the world of dating, and those endeavoring to establish and maintain meaningful and fulfilling relationships. When relationships do not work out, we focus on 'separation counseling' to mitigate the process as much as possible for the couple and their family.
Women's Issues
The particular issues affecting women in our world has long been a focus of mine. We offer a consciousness-raising group therapy for persons interested in a lively discussion of women's experiences and concerns in modern society.
